23.97 grams. Reverse legend ends in HISPANIA. Estimate: $2,500 - $3,000.

the pillars. Variety with full four digit date below the coat of arms on
the reverse. Rare presentation issue. 27.28 grams.

Carlos II , Bolivia, Royal cob 8 Reales 1688P-VR, KM-R26, Lazaro 223, choice VF-XF, lightly cleaned at one time and now with soft gray patina. A superb original example which has not been holed or mounted. The obverse is bold while the reverse shows some doubling. The obverse has also been mounted and re-engraved at 12 o'clock. Only one royal variety is known for this date unlike most issues in the 1680's. 26.06 grams.

Felipe IV , Bolivia,  8 Reales 1657-E, KM21, nice VF, some minor patination, struck on a virtually round flan with clear date, mintmarks and assayer's initials on the obverse, and the very scarce variety with the E to the left of the cross on the reverse and the P mintmark to the right. Two clear dates and a portion of the third in the obverse peripheral legend. PH above the obverse columns. 27.43 grams.
